On July 16, the Council will organize Supply Chain Roadshow in Suzhou with stops at Adidas, BlueScope and Shure Corp.
These visits will give you a good idea on how leading companies are running their supply chain and logistics operations in China. It's also a unique opportunity to spend a day out of the office and meet and network with Council members and other senior executives in supply chain, procurement or logistics.
Founded in February 1994, the park lies in the center of the Yangtze River Delta and at the juncture of China's coastal economic open areas. Its chief industries include electronics, bio-pharmaceuticals and new materials, which account for 75 percent of its gross output. Over the past 15 years, the park maintained an average annual economic growth of 30 percent, paid more than 100 billion yuan (14.6 billion U.S. dollars) in taxes and utilized foreign funds of nearly 16 billion U.S. dollars. Currently, the park has more than 12,000 companies, including more than 3,000 foreign enterprises.
adidas Distribution Center
The logistics and distribution center, covering an area of 60,000 square meters, serves all provinces in Mainland China. It has been the highest capacity apparel and footwear DC in China, serviced booth wholesale and own retail network. Adidas manufactures and distributes athletic footwear, clothing, equipment and accessories, under brands such as adidas, Reebok and TaylorMade.

BlueScope Steel Factory
BlueScope Steel Suzhou is an award winnings, modern, world class manufacturer of high quality metallic coated & pre-painted steel. This facility, which involved capital investment of $A 280 million, was the biggest Australian capital investment in China. The plant is capable of manufacturing 250,000 tones of metallic coated steel and 150,000 tones of pre-painted steel on an annual basis.

Shure Electronics Factory
Shure Electronics was set up in Suzhou in July 2004, which is first manufacturer in Asia besides operation in USA and Mexico. There are 250 employees in Suzhou plant. Shure is a US company focus on microphones and audio electronics products.

Transportation from Shanghai to and from the zone will be arranged by first-class coach bus. Pick up ad drop points to be confirmed shortly.
